Budding young writers flock to Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor (2009-02-03 )

As part of its ongoing Masterclass Programme for school pupils, Coleg Meirion- Dwyfor invited the popular novelist Nia Medi to give a workshop.

Nia’s Masterclass on creative writing proved so popular two classes had to be held, one in Dolgellau and the other in Pwllheli. In all pupils from seven local secondary schools took part in the event.

Novelist, actor and shop owner Nia Medi had a great time with the pupils. She said:

“There was real potential, and a few talented stars amongst the pupils, which is promising for the future of literature in Wales.”

Next week the school pupils will be coming back to Coleg Merion-Dwyfor to listen to the leading economic analyst Professor Dylan Jones Evans speaking on Enterprise and Business.
